If any of those sound familiar, you’re not alone. Most business owners I talk to launched their website and haven’t had the time, or the know-how, to look after it since. Without anyone looking after it, you can end up with a website that works against your business instead of for it.

What you get from a website that’s looked after
I build on WordPress because it’s flexible, well supported and easy for you to use. Like any popular software, it needs regular updates, and the people who make it and its plugins release improvements and security fixes all the time.
What has changed is how quickly you need to install them. Hackers now use AI to find weak spots in plugins faster than ever, and they often start attacking a new security hole within hours of it being made public. A few years ago, you could leave updates for a few weeks without much risk. You can’t safely do that any more.
Most months, nothing dramatic happens. But if nobody installs those updates for a long stretch, you can end up with a contact form that quietly stops sending, pages that load slowly on phones, or, now and then, a hacked site. Most of the hacked sites I’m asked to fix were running plugins that hadn’t been updated in months.
When someone looks after your website properly, you can send people to it with confidence. Visitors find what they need quickly, enquiries land in your inbox, and you can see each month what’s working and what to improve next.

Prefer to look after it yourself?
That’s fine too. If I build your website, you own it outright, and I’ll show your team how to run it before handover. You can add a plan later if you change your mind.
If your site gets hacked, I’ll clean it up
If your site is hacked or picks up malware while it’s on any plan, I’ll clean it up at no charge. I’ll remove the malware, restore from a backup if needed, clear out any spam content and close the gap that let it in. If Google or another service has flagged your site, I’ll start the removal process with each one and follow it through.

No. That’s exactly who these plans are for. You don’t need to log in, click updates or learn anything. If you ever want to make small changes yourself, I’m happy to show you how.
Usually, yes. I’ll check it over first and tell you if anything needs fixing before it goes on a plan. The free audit is a good place to start.
I’ll check your site’s updates, security, backups and speed, and send you a short list of what needs fixing. You can act on it yourself, hand it to your current developer, or ask me to help. There’s no obligation either way.
Yes. Most people call it a care plan or a maintenance plan. I call mine management plans, because I take responsibility for the whole website, as well as the updates.
No. Every plan is month to month. If you want to cancel, just give me 30 days’ notice.
Yes. The price you see is the price you pay.
Yes. You can move up or down whenever you need to.
Your report shows the attacks blocked, backups taken, updates installed and any security work I’ve done that month. On Improve and Grow, it also covers the changes and improvements I’ve made.
I do them as ad-hoc work. Plan clients get 10%, 20% or 30% off, depending on the plan, on up to $1,000 of extra work each month.
Every website I build includes the first three months of Protect, as part of the build price. After that, it’s up to you.
Yes. Improve is available for Shopify stores at the same price. Shopify looks after hosting and security itself, so the hacked website guarantee doesn’t apply.
