The Foundation Workshop
Before anything gets built, we work out who your website is for, what it needs to do and how you’ll measure it. You keep the strategy document either way.
What you walk away with
The workshop is about your business first and your website second. These are the things we work through together.
Who your website is for
We get specific about the patients or customers you want more of, and what they need to see before they get in touch.
What it needs to do
We agree on the job your website has to do, whether that’s bookings, enquiries or trust, and how you’ll measure it.
What to do first
You get my recommendations in priority order, so your budget goes to the changes that will make a difference.
What it will cost
You know roughly what it will cost and how long it will take before you commit to anything bigger.

Why the workshop comes first
This is where most web designers get it wrong. They jump straight into building without properly understanding the business first.
Before anyone makes a single website decision, I run a 90-minute workshop to understand your business: your brand, your customers, your goals and what sets you apart. It goes wider than your website, so I understand the whole business, not just the pages.
It also means you don’t spend money on things that won’t help. You’ll know what to prioritise, what it will cost and how long it will take, before you commit to anything bigger.
How it works
Five steps, from a free first chat to a strategy you can act on.
Introduction call
A free 15-minute call to learn about your business, your goals and your challenges. If the workshop is right for you, I’ll send a proposal to get started.
The workshop
A structured 90-minute session, in person or online. We cover your business goals, your patients or customers, your current website and your competitors.
Research and audit
I review your current website and online presence to find what’s working and where the opportunities are.
The presentation
A 60-minute session where I take you through my recommendations, the priorities and how to put them in place.
Your strategy document
You receive a written strategy to keep, whatever you decide next.
- Your goals and who your website is for
- Recommendations, in priority order
- Recommended timelines
- Budget considerations
Who it’s for
The workshop is open to any business, whether you need a new website or not.
Common questions
No. You keep the strategy document either way. You can put it into action with me, with your own team or with another provider.
The workshop becomes the first stage of the project, so it replaces the usual project brief meeting. Nothing gets done twice.
Yes. I run the workshop in person on the Sunshine Coast or online, whichever suits you.
[To write: who from the business should attend, for example the owner and the practice manager.]
Let’s talk about your website.
