Typically, a small WordPress website takes around 6-8 weeks from start to finish, a medium to large sites can take 8-12 weeks. The timeline depends on the complexity of the design and functionality, the amount of content, and how quickly you can provide feedback throughout the process.
Do I need to provide all the content?
A great website needs great content to be successful. Because of this, I include copywriting as part of my service from a professional copywriter (not AI). I take the time upfront to understand your business and audience, and then include compelling copy for your website. If you have high quality copy, I can remove this from your proposal. I do not include photography, and you’ll need to supply professional & high quality images. If you don’t have these, I can recommend a photographer to help.
Will my website be mobile-friendly?
Absolutely! All websites I create are fully responsive, meaning they adapt perfectly to any screen size – from desktop computers to tablets and mobile phones. With more than half of all web traffic coming from mobile devices, this is essential for any modern website.
Will my website be SEO-friendly?
Yes, I include on-page SEO as part of every website build. This includes optimising your site structure, meta descriptions, image alt tags, and ensuring your website loads quickly. While I can’t guarantee specific search rankings (no one honestly can), I’ll build a solid foundation for your SEO efforts.
What happens after my website launches?
I’ll send you some tips and resources to help you launch your website, and I will check in on your site at the 1 month & 3 month period to make sure everything is working as expected. You can either opt to manage the website yourself, or use our website care plans to have your site professionally managed so it’s always secure, up-to-date, and performing at its best
What are the ongoing costs?
Your website hosting, domain and plugins are all covered for the first year. From then on there are the following costs required for your website:
- Domain name: $20-$30 annually
- Website hosting: $50 per month
- Premium plugins & themes: $100-$300 annually
I’ll always be transparent about any ongoing costs, and if you’re on a website care plan in most cases these are all included.
Is WordPress secure?
WordPress is a highly secure Content Management System (CMS), but it’s critical that it’s setup and configured well. When WordPress is setup with a good quality host, quality plugins, regular updates and best practices it is a very secure platform.
WordPress is an open source CMS with thousands of third party plugins and themes that can be added. If a WordPress websites that is hacked or compromised it is almost always because of a plugin or theme vulnerability.
We’ll ensure your site only used quality, trusted plugins and themes, and is setup correctly to best practices to keep your site safe and secure.
Can I make changes in WordPress myself?
Yes, Wordpress is designed to be easy to use and allows for you to make content changes easily on your website. As part of any website build, we will run a training and handover session where we show you how the website is setup, how to edit content and make changes, and how to manage the site for the future.

With the huge range of plugins and add ons available for Wordpress, it can be setup for almost any functionality and use case.
