Website builds and overhauls

Custom WordPress websites designed and built around your business, whether you’re starting fresh or fixing a website that isn’t pulling its weight.

What a website costs

I quote every project on its scope after the Foundation Workshop, so you know exactly what you’re paying for. These ranges give you a starting point. I’m not the cheapest option, because I don’t cut corners on the things that keep a website working for years. All prices exclude GST.

Single page websites

From $2,500

For a new business, a single service or a simple landing page that needs to look the part.

Small business websites

$4,000 to $8,000

Four to eight pages. The right size for most practices and small businesses.

Larger websites

$8,000 to $12,000+

Ten or more pages, multiple locations or practitioners, and custom features such as directories.

New build or overhaul?

If your current website has good bones, an overhaul can fix the design, the copy and the speed without starting again. If it’s built on a template that fights you at every turn, a new build usually costs less in the long run.

I’ll tell you which one makes sense after the workshop, and why. Either way, you get a website that’s yours, built properly and easy for your team to update.

What’s included in every build

These come with every website I build, whatever its size.

Strategy first

Every build starts with the Foundation Workshop, so the website is built around your goals.

Copywriting included

I write the copy, because the words do most of the work of turning visitors into enquiries.

Custom design

Designed from scratch for your business. No templates, no page builders.

Fast and accessible

Clean code, good hosting and WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility as standard.

Training at handover

I set up your hosting and show your team how to update the website before I hand it over.

Support after launch

Support for 28 days after launch, health checks at one and three months, and a 30-day satisfaction guarantee.

Paying for your website

You can pay for the build in one go or spread it out. Split payments are invoiced on a set schedule, not tied to build milestones.

Pay upfront

Save 5%

Pay for the build in full when we start and take 5% off the price.

Split payments

2 to 12 months

Spread the cost over 2, 3, 6 or 12 monthly payments.

Common questions

A few things people ask before starting a build.

Most projects take six to ten weeks from kick-off to launch. The timeline depends on how many pages you need and how quickly content and feedback come through. I give you a realistic timeline before we start, not an optimistic one.

Yes. It’s how I understand your business well enough to quote accurately and build the right thing. You keep the strategy document whether or not we go ahead with the build.

I build every website on WordPress. It’s easy for your team to update without technical knowledge, any developer can work with it, and it grows with your business.

Every build includes two major rounds of feedback. Anything beyond the agreed scope is discussed and agreed in writing before I do it, so there are no surprise invoices.

Yes, completely. You own the domain, the hosting account and everything built on it. There are no licence fees or lock-in, and if you ever move to another provider, everything comes with you.
