Look after your website yourself

I never hold a website hostage. I build quality websites so you can run them yourself, if that’s what you’d like to do.

You own all of it

You own the domain, the hosting account and everything built on it. There are no licence fees, no lock-in and no passwords only I know.

If you’d rather look after the website yourself, that’s completely fine. I build every website so the people running it can update it without technical knowledge.

The honest bit

I’ll be straight with you. As a business owner, looking after your own website isn’t always the best use of your time.

Updates, security checks, backups and the small improvements that help a website do better all add up, and they’re easy to put off when the business gets busy. A care plan bundles all of that into one monthly fee, so it gets done whether you’re busy or not.

If you’re proactive and you like that kind of work, you can absolutely do it yourself. I’ll set you up to do it well.

Training for your team

A training session for the people who’ll update the website, so they’re confident doing it on their own.

A handover document

A written guide to where everything is, how it’s set up and how to look after the website well into the future.

Common questions

A few things people ask before taking the website on themselves.

Yes. If you change your mind, you can move onto a care plan at any time. I’ll check the website over first so I know where things stand.

Get in touch. I can help with one-off changes and fixes at my hourly rate, without you needing a care plan.

Yes, completely. You own the domain, the hosting account and everything built on it. There are no licence fees or lock-in, and if you ever move to another provider, everything comes with you.
